This place was so good! My friend and I went here after a rude hostess at another near by eatery. We were seated quickly. We loved the decor (though it was a little dark) The food we ordered was fantastic! I ordered the ribeye and my friend got the belly cooked fish (Which turned out to be Sea Bass). The food arrived in a reasonable time for how busy the place was. And our waitress was awesome. The food was amazing and we really enjoyed the whole experience. If you like wine, you should go on Saturday! Almost all of their wine is $5 a glass. We had the Moscato they offer and it was pretty good.

Came in for lunch with a friend (apparently they only use the dinner menu all day Saturday and Sunday--which on Saturday seems abnormal). The service was a little off-took us a while to have the complimentary water brought to our table. On the bright side, there is literally something for everyone. The size of their menu is absolutely ridiculous. My friend had the appetizer firecracker shrimp with a side of fries. I had the firestarter sushi roll. Everything was good, but I honestly wasn't blown away. The firecracker shrimp were good, but unfortunately par for the course. The sushi was tasty, but was definitely not the freshest I've had. However, in this area the non-fast food restaurants are few and far between, so that certainly helps their appeal. I'll give it a try again next time I'm in the area. Maybe at night, when its a little busier.

I don't know why I haven't heard of this place yet. I enjoyed the atmosphere and music. I went with my husband on a Tuesday evening and we were seated promptly and were surprised on how quickly our food came. For an appetizer we had the crab rangoon. It was great with the spicy mayo and sweet chili sauce. We also had the volcano roll. We ordered the ghost pepper sauce on the side. The roll was great. I had the shrimp and grits for my entree and I was not disappointed. I loved the crunchy fried green tomato to contrast the grits and shrimp. The sauce with the smoked Gouda was tasty with a little spiciness. My husband had the grilled mahi mahi fish tacos. He liked them but there was a lot of juice in the taco that caused the tortilla to break. I think the taco would have been awesome with a handmade corn tortilla. It was served with a great little spinach salad that my husband enjoyed and he isn't usually much of a salad kind of guy. Overall, the service was great and timely and we enjoyed our experience at Label Restaurant very much and we will probably return again soon.

Great beer list. Bellied up and had a Double Den IPA which is immaculate. Luckily I held off on most of that until I had the shrimp and grits which may be top 3 in my ventures through Florida, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee. Really outstanding.

We truly love this place, we have dined there probably 50 times, some when it was 112 downtown. The service is always great! The food is always well prepared! Never had a problem at all! I would highly recommend The Label!

Excellent food and amazing service. Waitress took the time to answer questions and provide suggestions. The crab rangoons were great! Love the ability to make your own sandwich and the various toppings available. Sweet potato waffle fries were good, but really liked the garlic Parmesan fries the best.

My boyfriend and I visited for dinner on a Saturday night while in Johnson City July 11th. They were busy but we only had an 8 minute wait. The owner or manager (couldn't tell which he was) was very involved in the restaurant all night, always checking on the customers and when he saw someone looking around or needed refills he got their waitress. We had crab rangoons which were the best I've ever had. We had shrimp tempura rolls for sushi. I got a burger that was amazing and he had a ribeye that was the best steak we've ever had. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone. It's worth the money though it's not super expensive. We will do the drive from nashville and from central virginia to meet in the middle for a weekend just to eat here again!!

Ok, so be advised: I sat at the bar and only got beers and appetizers. This was my first time in Johnson City. I was going to a show later that night at Capones and arrived early so I wandered around a bit and came upon Label. No, wait. that's not entirely true. I had read about it somewhere but I cant remember where and it stood out. So, when I walked by I remembered and decided to go in and enjoy a frosty beverage. The hostess was friendly and walked me to the bar even though it was just a few steps behind her. Nice. The bartendar immediately came up with a drink/beer menu and asked if I'd be ordering food and brought a food menu. I ordered some nice hummus and a nice Wolf's Den IPA. Super delicious. I was quickly among new friends as everyone was super friendly. The bartendar was helpful and friendly as well. I found the decor pretty cool - industrial and upscale seeming. I really enjoyed the whole experience and would definitely go back. I might even get dinner :)

Although this was a last min decision, I was not disappointed. I ordered the black bean burger with the wasabi mayo which was pretty delish. The sweet potato waffle fries were good as well. I liked that they weren't doused with cinnamon like most sweet potato fries. Good service and atmosphere. I'll have to come back and try something from their wood grill.

Exceptional service. Dinner was amazing. I had a featured special Meatloaf Wellingtons. It was a hard decision between that and their famous label burgers which I have had several times before. We also had the lamp chop lollipops as an appetizer a new item on the menu. It was to die for. For dessert the table shared the chocolate mousse and the blueberry Creme brûlée which was heavenly.

Give this place a chance. The service wasn't snappy but not as poor as one reviewer commented. We had 7 people with reservations and although the service was a little slow it was OK for a casual group. Appetizers were all good. If one person eats the garlic fries you should all eat them. Sushi was maybe the best in the area. I would definitely recommend it if your pallet allows you to eat raw fish or bait as some call it.

After my second visit to this establishment, I am walking out more annoyed then when I entered. SERVICE: The first visit we dealt with slow service and a long wait time. We waited 30 minutes while many of tables stayed empty. I justified this in my head by telling myself that they were probably short staffed in the kitchen or something. The waitress at the time was very nice, but visited our table the minimum amount of times required to complete a dining experience. My second time was worse. We get to the restaurant with one couple in front of us. They told the couple in front of us it would be twenty minutes until they were seated. The hostess tells us the same thing. She requires us to leave a number to tell us when the table is available. One hour later I see the couple that came in front of us asking about their table. I hear the hostess tell them that she tried to call but got no answer. This couple was standing right beside the hostess stand the entire time. Why did the hostess not turn and tell this couple their table was ready? On the other side of the hostess stand, I stand with my wife waiting for our table forty minutes longer than we were first told. I go and ask the hostess about our table . We get the same lame answer. The hostess said she tried to call, but got no answer. I ask her why she didn't just tell us, because we were standing right at the stans. She just tells me she will sit me now. No apology, she just repeats that she tried to call my number. We check the phone, there was never a call. We get seated over an hour later. We wait about twenty minutes to get our order taken. It is two hours later when we receive our dinner. We end up leaving three hours later, only seeing our waitress very few times. FOOD: On my second visit, the appitizer (Spring Rolls) we ordered comes out quick, but is also cold in the center like it was previously frozen. My entrée was the Kickin' Chicken sandwich. The bread is very soggy, and the chicken was a little cold. I understand the food probably had to sit out for a bit, because my wife ordered sushi. I would be more forgiving of this, if the experience with the hostess wasn't so infuriating. I will not be revisiting this establishment until I feel less irritated with their seating practices. I would be more than happy to speak to the owner to give more details, but I feel he or she isn't bothered with their impractical hosting. I hate that Label will not be among my choices for dinner in Johnson City, TN.

So pleased every time another delicious restaurant with a great atmosphere opens in the TriCities. I make a point to try this place on each visit I'm in the area. A go to spot for drinks and appetizers or a full meal! An exciting menu of smart flavor combos and sushi!! I made my nonSushi eating sister a believer w some of their rolls. Keep up the good work and delicious food.

Half-price sushi fri. May 29 @ 9pm. Food poisoning symptoms at 9 am Saturday culminating in visit to Franklin Woods hospital that night for a saline w/ morphine and anti nausea drip. Pretty disappointing for a longtime customer who figured the Stir Fry brand ensured good hygiene.

The fresh ground beef burger was excellent! Since they ground their beef themselves, you can have your burger cooked how you like it. Mine was perfectly pink...just how I like it. Courteous attentive wait staff. I'm definitely going back!!

After eating here a few times now I would like to add some observations. The burgers and beer selection are still great. The food is fresh, unique, and delicious. They have lost a star in my book, though. The wait staff has been inconsistent. The last time I went (3pm on a Saturday) the wait staff were socializing quite heavily with one another. So much so that we felt we were a bother to the waitress that was serving us. I'm sorry, but a couple that come in and run up a $60 bill during an off hours time surely shouldn't be a bother to any wait staff. I'm sure a $12 tip for good service wouldn't have bothered her but instead she got $8.

Upon arrival to this place we were pleasantly hit with the smell of the wood fire grill at work. The smell and the awesome decor/lighting of this place is really inviting. The layout of the restaurant also seems to be very, very nice and just has a very nice "flow" to it. Hostess and Waitstaff seem to be very attentive and drink orders were taken quickly although the arrival of the drinks and the entrees as well were on the slow side. However, it just left more time to converse with our company and and enjoy the surroundings. We all enjoyed our entrees and found that everything was of high quality and placed well on the dish. From start to finish this was a pleasurable and filling experience, one of which we will enjoy again. The Menu is quite the novel and you will find that the Bourbon and Scotch menu is almost two pages in itself. VERY nice selection of Wine, Craft Beer, Mixed Drinks and Bourbon and Scotch all at to me, fair prices. First place I have ever been that offers a Bourbon or Scotch "Flight". Very nice decor, nice waitstaff, and very quality "Mid-High" priced food that leaves you happy and looking forward to your next visit. A+ for me and happy to see such a nice restaurant here in Johnson City...SKIP Tupelo Honey Cafe and dine here instead for a much better meal and experience overall.

Been here many many times and had wonderful food and terrific service!! You have to try the hummus appetizer and of course the sushi is best in town as I am a sushi lover. Also, there is a wonderful selection of burgers, the drunken goat and politician to name a couple. A must try for those who like a good burger!!!! Or if u are just looking to chill out for a sporting event on TV with a cold drink, many selections of craft beers and mix drinks galore!!!! Again, wonderful service and management is friendly and consistent with checking on everyone. Overall great great place to try in the growing downtown Johnson City!!!
